Update to The Xbox One’s Game Bar: Introducing the Resources Widget
We know firsthand as PC gamers how important it is to have full command over your games and hardware. That’s why we’ve made it a priority to refine the Xbox Game Bar and provide you with more options to optimize your system’s performance and resource usage without interrupting your gameplay. The Game Bar can be accessed directly by pressing Win+G.
Performance Management at Your Fingertips
Your PC is used for more than simply playing games, but when it’s gaming time, you want to give your games the best chance of running smoothly. Windows offers a robust tool ecosystem for tracking system performance and resources, but utilizing them usually necessitates pressing Alt+Tab to exit your game in the middle of a fierce battle.
The Resources widget displays which programs are hogging the system and allows you to kill them without having to exit your game. Top offenders can be located quickly and easily in the standard view, while additional information may be viewed in the advanced view.
The Performance widget has also been improved based on player feedback; it now provides precise monitoring of GPU Utilization and GPU Memory (VRAM) utilization, and you can adjust the specific metrics you wish to keep an eye on in the widget’s settings.
Find out If You’re Ready for What’s Next with Xbox Game Bar
The PC is favored by gamers due to its robustness and cutting-edge features. For the next generation of game visuals, DirectX 12 Ultimate is the new gold standard, thanks to innovations like DirectX Raytracing, Variable Rate Shading, Mesh Shaders, and Sampler Feedback. Have you prepared yourself for the next generation of PC games?
Using Xbox Game Bar, you may see if your computer supports DirectX 12 Ultimate. To access the gaming options, go to the Settings menu and then select “Gaming features.”
