Steam is an excellent digital distribution platform since it allows you to request a refund for a game at any time, regardless of how much you’ve played it.
This is the perfect addition for anyone who has ever regretted buying a game because they found it to be flawed, unreliable, or otherwise not up to par with their expectations.
Furthermore, Steam’s return policy is rather generous, allowing you to play a game for up to two hours before deciding whether or not you want to keep it.
When it comes to video games, one of the issues is that we can never really tell if we’ll like them until we actually buy and play them.
That’s why it’s great that Steam, the world’s largest digital game store, will give you your money back if you’re not satisfied with your purchase.
Does Steam Offer Refunds?
You must have played less than two hours of the game and seek a refund within two weeks of purchase.
If you change your mind about a pre-ordered game before it’s published, you can get a full refund. After release, the game must be completed within two weeks and under a time limit of no more than two hours.
Finally, if the recipient of your Steam gift hasn’t activated it yet, you can request a refund for the game.

What Is the Return Policy and How Long Do You Have to Obtain a Refund?
Unfortunately, not every game lives up to its hype, and some might be a costly mistake. Steam has a refund feature in this situation.
As long as the refund request is submitted to Steam within two weeks of the purchase date, it will be honored for nearly all games and software.
To get your money back, though, you can’t just rush through the game. The Steam return policy states that you can claim a refund if you have played the game for less than two hours in total.
