How to Arrange Your IPhone’s Apps by Making and Using Folders.

0

There are probably dozens of apps on your iPhone, some of which you use every day and others that you only use occasionally but can’t bear to get rid of because of how useful they may be in certain situations.

If you prefer a bit more order, having a large number of downloaded apps can be a headache because it may require you to go through numerous screens before you reach the one you’re looking for.

Apps on an iPhone, fortunately, can be neatly filed away in folders. Folder creation is a quick and easy operation that requires very little effort. For even more convenience in maintaining app order, you may give your folders meaningful names.

Now, you’ll have all the information you require.

How to create a new folder on your iPhone

1. The first step in making a folder is to tap and hold the icon of the first app you want to place inside the folder until all of your app icons begin to jiggle and a small X appears in the upper left corner of each.

2. To add another programme to the same folder, simply press and hold the icon again, then drag it to where you want it to go. Holding down the “shift” key while hovering over an app icon will create a folder; releasing the button will move the apps into the new folder.

3. Note that the iPhone will automatically name the folder after the apps it contains. For example, if you put two financial programmes in the same folder, that folder will be automatically labelled “Finance.”

How to change the name of your iPhone folder

In a similar fashion to how you initially gave each iPhone folder a name, you can also rename them.

1. Open the folder you wish to rename by pressing and holding one of its app icons until the apps inside it begin to wiggle and a small X appears in the upper left corner of each.

2. The folder’s title field will become editable at this point. It’s a folder, so tap it and give it a name. As simple as that!
