By utilizing Bluetooth technology to discover nearby compatible devices, the proprietary wireless service AirDrop enables the wireless transfer of data like as images, movies, files, contacts, map locations, and more.

Since its inception in 2011, when it was first introduced to the public, the technology has undergone significant evolution.

Once incompatible due to being built on distinct protocols, modern versions of Mac OS X and iOS can be used together on a wide variety of iPhone, iPad, and Mac devices.

AirDrop is a technology that has many advantages over its competitors, including speed and safety. There’s no need to manually pair devices because it can detect nearby recipients automatically.
