Is The Peripheral Season 2 Happening?
The first two episodes have caught viewers’ attention, despite the fact that the first season is still under production. A second season is reportedly being planned. The streaming service hasn’t yet made this official, though.
Currently, the entire club is concentrated on marketing its debut season. Many sneaks peeks, teasers, and even trailers have been issued to promote the series. And it undoubtedly captured our interest. Definitely have a peek at the trailer after this:
According to Chlo Grace Moretz, Lisa Joy and Jonah Nolan are two major figures in the sci-fi genre. It seemed too wonderful to be true when [writer] William Gibson, one of the pioneers of science fiction, was added to the mix.
One beautiful quality of Jonah and Lisa is their ability to take science fiction and simplify it such that it is both expansive and approachable.
There is, in my opinion, tremendous warmth in this show.
No matter how far and how deeply you delve into the sci-fi world’s madness, you kind of always come back knowing who to trust and who you’re supposed to be behind because there’s such a strong familial sense to it.
If you didn’t already know, the series is based on William Gibson’s 2014 novel of the same name. Gibson’s book Agency is set in the same universe as The Peripheral and has distinct but connected futures.
