Known mostly for his stand-up, Rhod Gilbert is a well-known stand-up comedian from Wales’s comedy scene.
He was born in Wales on the 18th of October 1968 As the son of two academics, he grew up in Carmarthen, Wales, among his two siblings. He tied the knot with his longtime girlfriend, Sian Harries.
For his first solo show at Edinburgh Fringe in 2005, Gilbert was nominated for a Perrier Newcomer Award for his work entitled 1984. His performances have taken him all across the world.
