Career
Brian left the band in 2004 and signed with Sony BMG as a solo artist, releasing his debut solo album later that year. His album “Irish Son” wasn’t as well-received as Westlife’s, but his single “Almost Here” – a duet with Delta Goodrem – topped the Australian and Irish charts and went platinum in Australia, boosting his net worth significantly.
After a disagreement with Sony BMG agents over the direction his music career was headed, Brian left the label and founded BMF Records. His second album, “Set in Stone,” was published through his record company, but the single “Like Only a Woman Can,” which reached No. 13 on the charts, led to an arrangement with Universal Music Australia. He kept making music, and in 2010 he published his third album, “Wall of Soundz,” which had successes like “Just Say So,” a duet with Kevin Rudolf that went platinum in Australia, and “Chemical Rush,” which reached No. 12.
Brian’s most recent album, “The Irish Connection,” was released in 2013, and it was a cover album of popular Irish songs that made Brian fall in love with the music of his homeland, but it failed to chart, reaching just No. 75 in Ireland and No. 66 in Australia.
Brian has since shifted his focus to his television career, serving as a judge on “Australia’s Got Talent” from 2010 to 2012 and as a participant on “The Chase: Celebrity Special” in 2014, “The Chase: Text Santa Special” (2015), and “Catch: Celebrity Couples Special” in 2015. Brian’s net worth has risen as a result of his participation on the show “Who’s Doing the Dishes” (2014-2016), among many others.
