Early Life
In Aurora, Ohio, on May 25, 1969, Anne Celeste Heche was born. Her older sister Cynthia, who passed away at the age of two months before Heche was born, died of a heart condition. She was raised by her mother Nancy, father Donald, and older siblings Nathan, Abigail, and Susan. Nearly a dozen moves were made by Anne’s family during her formative years. In a 2001 interview with Larry King, Heche said of her father’s income as a choir director, “I don’t think he made much on that a week. He claimed to work in the gas and oil industry. And he continued to say that up until his death. But he has never worked in the gas or oil industry.
At age 45, Anne’s father passed away from AIDS in March 1983.
