Salt-N-Pepa Get Back Together to Get a Star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame.!

On November 4, Salt-N-Pepa got back together to celebrate receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The famed hip-hop trio composed of Deidra “DJ Spinderella” Roper, Sandra “Pepa,” and Cheryl “Salt” James put their problems aside to attend the presentation of their plaque in Los Angeles.

The three haven’t performed as a unit since Spinderella quit the group in 2019 and filed a lawsuit against the other two for unpaid royalties. The DJ has now even made a hint that the gang will be attempting to resolve their own problems.

The three performers spoke to the crowd while they were present at the event on Friday and discussed their experiences. The 52-year-old Spinderella stated in her statement that the message of courage and independence had inspired and impacted women all around the world.

And what our message accomplished for you guys, it also accomplished for me. I appreciate S and P’s guidance. Pep, salt, and wisdom. We have experienced both highs and lows. But I must say that I’m grateful for those lessons. I know this since it wasn’t simply the music.

It was our connection. And that is absolutely crucial to me. So let’s restore some unity in this by doing whatever it takes to rectify that. She continued, “Let’s figure it out, be legendary, and be what the fans want.

James, in the meantime, encouraged the group by saying, “Keep the faith.” Your setback is a preparation for your resurgence! Keep your head up and keep pushing it, ladies—everything you’re going through and learning along the road is preparing you for what you asked for, for what you prayed for!

At her address, Denton, 55, discussed how her father’s passing had influenced her decision to enroll in the Queens school where she first met James and Roper. She added that after he died, all she could think was, “Oh my goodness, I have to make my dad proud, be strong, and achieve these things.”

The impact of hip-hop on women was then discussed by Denton, who said that this was the most frequently asked question concerning the genre. Look at that, I said, “Yo, they adore us all over this planet.” Women have benefited from hip-hop.

In 2019, Roper asserted that a termination email had been used to terminate her employment with the group. Soon later, she filed a lawsuit against James and Denton alleging several contract violations, unpaid royalties, and fraud.

The DJ revealed the situation in an interview in February 2021 and stated, “The relationship is gone.” Only if we resolve this issue and they extend an apology to me may something similar occurs. Never would I join a group that doesn’t want me there.
