Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Filming Locations
Georgia, Massachusetts, and Puerto Rico were used heavily in the filming of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
The shooting started in June 2021, but it had to be stopped multiple times because different team members contracted Covid-19. Once more, the cameras began to roll in January 2022, and on March 24 the final frame was captured.
The sites where Black Panther: Wakanda Forever was filmed are listed below:
The Georgian city of Brunswick served as the backdrop for some of the movie’s scenes. Mary Ross Waterfront Park was the backdrop for the cast and crew as they shot scenes at 10 F Street. Many viewers also witnessed a 300-foot cruise ship being used to record the acts as some underwater shots were being shot at the location.
A farmers market, an amphitheater, an outdoor musical playscape, and the Liberty Ship Memorial Plaza are also located along the shoreline. On Georgia’s coast, Brunswick is the second-largest urban area and a significant port city.
Filming for a significant section of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever took place in Atlanta, Georgia’s capital and largest city. According to reports, the cast and crew shot at the city’s Trilith Studios at 461 Sandy Creek Road. The studio, which was once called Pinewood Atlanta, has 24 distinct stages.
The studio is perfect for filming a variety of movies because it also contains amenities including workshops, offices, back-lots, and 400 acres of landscapes. Atlanta also referred to as the “city of forests,” is home to the Atlanta Botanical Garden and the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park.
For the purpose of filming many scenes, the production crew established a tent near the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at 77 Massachusetts Avenue in Cambridge. The recording took place outside the institute’s Stratton Student Center and Simmons Hall.
Massachusetts’ fourth-most populated city, Cambridge, is named for the English university of the same name. The city is renowned for its world-class universities, historical structures, and museums.
Worcester and Boston, Massachusetts
In addition to Cambridge, the cast also recorded the scenes in Boston and Worcester, both of which are located in the state of Massachusetts. In August 2021, it was apparently used for filming a car chase scenario in Worcester’s Ernest A. Johnson Tunnel.
On the Harvard Bridge, which links Boston and Cambridge, another pursuit scene was filmed.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
The crew arrived in San Juan, the island nation’s capital, in March 2022 to begin filming the movie’s final schedule. The production took place primarily at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel and Casino on Carolina’s Avenida Los Gobernadores.
Puerto Rico is renowned for its rich history, distinctive culture, tranquil beaches, casinos, and nightlife. There are also significant Spanish colonial structures and sizable fortifications in the area.
