In Grey’s Anatomy Season 18 Episode 6, “Every Day Is a Holiday (With You),” Meredith and Nick appear to be getting more screen time together. Nick recommends to Meredith that they spend Thanksgiving together at a cabin in the previews. The general surgeon, of course, must return to Seattle to see her children. However, Meredith’s trip has been cancelled due to bad weather, indicating that Meredith and Nick could be dating shortly.

Meanwhile, some Grey’s Anatomy viewers are sceptical about Nick and Meredith’s pairing. A user on Reddit commented on the coupling feeling “odd” and “forced” after the programme on November 11th. Then they speculated that the ABC drama would be “laying the groundwork for a major subplot” in the future. Because he hasn’t been seen with anybody other than Meredith, many other viewers have begun to wonder if Nick is real.
Regardless, a few Grey’s Anatomy viewers hypothesised that the issue is “the entire Minnesota narrative and how it doesn’t match up with the rest of the programme,” rather than Nick. Another viewer asked if fans of Nick and Meredith will warm up to them “after we [saw] him more integrated” with the other characters.

Meanwhile, Speedman appears to be aware of Grey’s Anatomy viewers’ general reaction. He’s optimistic, though, that he’ll be able to convert them shortly.
“At first, [the fans] were sceptical, but I believe I’m winning them over.” On Nov. 18, while On Air With Ryan Seacrest, Speedman said, “I’m not sure.” “However, they were instantly enthralled….” It was not well received by them. So, by the conclusion of the season, we’ll see how it goes.”
