The family of Kate Mara and Jamie Bell is growing. Mara and Bell made the exciting announcement of their second child’s impending arrival through Instagram on Sunday.
In a photo of herself and her hubby, the “A Teacher” actress captioned the image, “There are three of us in this pic.” A Mara representative confirmed the information to the People.
The couple’s well-known acquaintances congratulated them in the comments section. In a message to her fans, Octavia Spencer congratulated them. In addition, “Fantastic Four” co-stars Michael B. Jordan and Mj Rodriguez congratulated Mara and Bell on the news with three-star emojis.
Following their appearances in 2014’s “Fantastic Four” together, Mara and Bell began dating in 2015. The renowned couple got engaged in January 2017 and married in July of the same year. Bell and Mara were seen kissing in a picture on Mara’s Instagram, with the comment “Nuptials.”
In 2019, the couple became parents for the first time, to a daughter whom they have chosen to keep nameless. Bell has a son, Jack, with Evan Rachel Wood, whom he had a previous relationship with.
A cute photo of the baby’s feet was posted on Instagram by Mara in May 2019, but her daughter’s precise birthdate was kept a secret. As he captioned the photo, the actor wrote, “We recently welcomed our daughter into the world. Here are her feet.”
Mara and Bell had a miscarriage prior to the birth of their daughter, which the “House of Cards” actress said made it difficult for her to be happy about the coming of her first child. On Dr. Berlin’s Informed Pregnancy Podcast, the star shared her story.
“It was bizarre, this bitter or sweet sort of..,” she explained. As thrilled as I was to see them again, I was disappointed that we weren’t as enthused as we had been the first time around.
Mara’s approach to taking on new tasks has changed since she became a mother. In a 2020 interview with Emmy Magazine, she said, “Eventually she’ll be able to look at the job I’ve done.” To put it another way, I want it to mean something today more than ever before.
