Vin Diesel Car Collection – Take a look at Vin Diesel’s Insane Garage
Calling Vin Diesel (our #legend cover star for January 2017) a petrol head is an understatement. He has the right screen name and has starred in the biggest automotive movie franchise in history.
In fact, since Paul Newman, no other movie actor has been more intimately identified with racing than Diesel, who helped bring street racing into the mainstream (and in the process, wrecked over 2,000 cars).
It should come as no surprise that he is a vehicle enthusiast. A brief glance at his collection reveals that his stable is remarkable enough to make even the most discerning automobile aficionado envious. Here’s a look at some of the most stunning vehicles in his garage, as well as how they’re linked to the Fast and Furious franchise in some way:
Toyota Supra 1994
Let’s start with the Toyota Supra from the original film that launched the franchise. You may recall Paul Walker’s distinctive orange vehicle, which he raced in. Diesel, on the other hand, has his own replica of this JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) automobile that he drives around Hollywood like Dominic Toretto.
The Supra was first introduced in 1978 as the Toyota Celica XX and was later spun off into its own brand in the mid-1980s. With its six-cylinder engine providing 320hp and a top speed of up to 160mph, it has since become one of the most modified JDMs on the market and remains a favorite among racers.
Dodge Charger Tantrum 1970
Diesel’s collection is dominated by American muscle vehicles, and nothing is more iconic than the 1970 Dodge Charger. This is his newest automobile, which he received as a birthday present from the cast and crew of F9. This isn’t your average Charger, either.
It’s the ‘Tantrum,’ a carbon-bodied version that was rebuilt by Speedkore Performance to produce 1,650 horsepower from its 9-liter turbocharged Mercury Marine engine. It’s not just a powerful vehicle, but it’s also a beautiful one. It has hand-crafted metal and aluminum bodywork, as well as a distinctive grille with a set of unique projector headlights.
F-Bomb Chevrolet Camaro RS-Z28 1973
This Chevy Camaro, which Diesel drove in the 2009 film sequel and has a distinctive olive drab paint job and an “F-Bomb” decal, is another of Diesel’s muscle cars. The vehicle depicted in the film wasn’t the real thing because it was only powered by a GM 300hp Crate engine. Under the hood of the genuine F-Bomb is a 1,500hp dual turbocharged V8 engine.
It looks every bit as sinister as it sounds, and it comes from a long line of hot rodders, with the original being created by David Freiburger of Hot Rod magazine. The F-Bomb received its moniker from the F-Body platform utilized by the Camaro and its muscle car cousin, the Pontiac Firebird, not from wanting to bomb the hell out of you during a race.

Lykan Hypersport 2014
With a net worth of more than $200 million, a US$3.4 million hypercar may be considered a tiny monetary outlay. With only seven copies accessible around the globe, this is without a doubt the rarest and most unusual car in Diesel’s collection.
This beast is driven by a 3.7-liter twin-turbocharged engine that produces up to 780hp and reaches a high speed of 395km/h, making it one of the quickest on the market.
This vehicle is also a star in its own right, having appeared in Furious 7, the seventh installment of the Fast and Furious franchise.

Sprinter Van by Rolls-Royce
One FF star to the next. Tyrese Gibson, who customizes Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans on the side, gave us this modified Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van as a gift.
This was Gibson’s first car, and it could only be regarded as a “love child” of two prestigious marques. While the framework is similar to that of a regular Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, Gibson went all out with the Rolls Royce enhancements, including bespoke interiors, emblems wherever available, and even a Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament.
This is the ultimate way to get around town for a celebrity of Diesel’s stature: in luxury comfort and with all eyes on you.
