The crossover that we’ve all been waiting for is almost here! Fans all across the world are anticipating the Simpsons Death Note spoof, which will appear in this year’s Simpsons Halloween special, the Treehouse of Horror XXXIII.
The long-running cartoon series’ Lisa, Homer, Krusty, and Marge will appear in the special episode, which will feature The Simpsons in full anime makeover. But when will the Death Note parody on The Simpsons be released? Find out by reading on.
The Simpsons Death Note Parody Release Date and Time
On October 30, 2022, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time, all Fox stations will broadcast the special episode, dubbed Death Tome. On October 31, the episode will be available for streaming on Hulu a day later. Recently, a few spoof stills featuring several Springfield characters have been made available online.
The first image features Lisa Simpson reading the Death Note book with Disco Stu and Ned Flanders in the backdrop, the second features Homer and Marge as animated characters, and the third features Lisa meeting Ryuk, the Shinigami, face to face.

The Simpsons Death Note spoof episode was animated by DR Movie, the same company that produced the original Death Note anime. The show will honor the legendary psychological thriller anime in addition to being a parody.
The First Teaser of The Simpsons Death Note Episode is Out
The first clip from the special has been made public and has gone viral online. The teaser depicts Lisa Simpson as an anime character traveling down a path while upset by the extent of the world’s pollution and animal abuse.

She is heard saying that the human race is 20 cow farts away from extinction and that we deserve it. Then, out of nowhere, a notebook with the writing “Death Tome” falls in front of her.
The notebook states, “You must explain how the victim will die, and you may NOT kill the same way twice.” Anyone whose name is recorded in this DEATH TOME will meet their death and be DEAD.
Treehouse of Horror XXXIII will Feature Three Episodes
The Simpsons’ Halloween Special episode, Treehouse of Horror, airs every year around Halloween. The holiday special, which will be in its 32nd year, will include two additional episodes in addition to Death Tome.
The Babadook will be referenced in the first episode, “The Pookadook,” and in the third, “Simpsonsworld,” a Westworld parody. The public’s response to the news of The Simpsons Death Note parody has been overwhelmingly positive.
Another said, Let it be known that the team behind The Simpsons actually went out of their way to commission a genuine anime studio to produce their Death Note parody for the upcoming Treehouse of Horror. One fan tweeted, “The Simpsons creating a Death Note parody is something I never realized I needed.” Even the same animation studio as Death Note!
